Volunteer Interns

My Savior Lives Orphanage, Ogembo  (MSLO) – Family Intern Project

FEEDING JESUS

In Matthew 25 Jesus said, For I was hungry and you gave me food.

Then the righteous said, Lord when did we see you hungry and give you food?

And Jesus, the King, answered them, Truly, I say to you,

As you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.

The orphan comes equipped with much potential, but no bank account.  Jesus said if you feed her because she belongs to Him, you are in essence, FEDDING JESUS.  Matthew 25

These thoughts form the basis of Feeding Jesus, the family intern project of MSLO.

Orphans need one main thing, love.  Somehow, love will find food.  Love will find clothes.

Love will visit the sick.  Love will visit the prisoner.  Love will take in the stranger.

Orphans need the righteous to become family to them.  Staff is minimal at MSLO.

Interns can fill the gap.

When they join in with MSLO staff, they themselves will be FEEDING JESUS.

That is the idea, interns of love to assist in all we do at the orphanage and school.

What is your gift?

What is the current need at MSLO?

Maybe we can find a match for you. (Are you an American?  Are you Kenyan?)

Please consider helping, can you spare three months of your life?

That is the commitment, 3 Months, to engage FEEDING JESUS.

These orphans need and appreciate everything we do for them.

Feeding Jesus Interns, can fill a gap that currently exists.

Consider FEEDING JESUS, as we consider the poor, the orphan within our gate here in Ogembo, Kenya.

We have interns!  On the left is Dominic, he helps with gardening, cutting the grass and trimming, he started last week.  In the green skirt is Caniday a mom with two kids of her own.  She just came back as cook.  Interns receive room and board along with the children.  In the center is Damaris Makori, she is expecting her first child with Douglas!  Next is Ruciah holding Nelly.  This lady is Douglas’s mom.  Lastly in the pretty pink top is high school student Juliet, Douglas’s little sister.  She and her Mom live nearby and will often eat evening meals at the orphanage to be with the family.

Greetings to Alphonse our newest but now experienced Feeding Jesus Intern

Alphonse went with Douglas to deliver food money near the Ugandan border to a huge orphanage there.  I wrote Experienced Intern because he suffered for those kids, he and Douglas were robbed and roughed up a bit.  And his phone was stolen along with Douglas’ phone and all the money over $300.
